![]() Related to this conversation is a new industry alliance, established in response to Red Hat’s policy change, led by CIQ, Oracle, and SUSE called the Open Enterprise Linux Association, announced earlier this month. Kurtzer has led several large open source projects, including CentOS Linux, the Warewulf and Perceus cluster toolkits, the container system Singularity (now Apptainer), and most recently, CentOS-successor Rocky Linux. He is known in the HPC space for developing architectures for performance-intensive computing while working for the U.S. He is a 20+ year veteran of Linux, open source, and HPC.
